Emily Kache Mwalugha

My name is Emily Kache Mwalugha, an alumnus of Bambakofi Academy. I am grateful for the strong foundation the school gave me, and I am happy to share a brief update on my academic and professional journey since leaving Bambakofi.I joined Bambakofi Academy in Grade 3 and studied there up to Grade 8, graduating in 2015. I scored 411 marks in KCPE, which earned me admission to Limuru Girls National School, where I completed my secondary education.
After completing my Form Four, I joined the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), where I pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. I successfully graduated in 2024. During my professional journey, I had the opportunity to work with USAID for a short period before the program was discontinued.
Currently, I am working as a Social Work trainer at Wumingu Technical and Vocational College (Wumingu TVC) in Taita, where I teach and mentor students pursuing social work related courses. It is fulfilling to now be in a position where I can give back to the community through education and service.I remain deeply thankful to Bambakofi Academy for nurturing my academic discipline, confidence, and values, which have greatly contributed to my growth.
I am proud to be an alumnus of the school and hope my journey can inspire current pupils to dream big and stay focused.
